16 Jun June Is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month
June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. The North Adams Home Special Care Unit would like to share the following information courtesy of the National Alzheimer’s Association. Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a progressive brain disease without any cure. Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss. It appears through a variety of signs and symptoms. North Adams Home invites those interested to receive additional information available at our front desk regarding the disease. You or your group can support finding a cure by joining the 2017 North Adams Home Walk to End Alzheimer’s team or by sponsoring a walker for the Quincy event scheduled at 8:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 16 in Clatt Adams Park. Those interested can contact Vickie Tipton, 217-936-2137.
The Quincy Memorial Bridge lights will be illuminated in purple June 18-24 in honor of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month. Check it out!
